Nathan Fillion will make a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, just as he did in the original film. He won’t be reprising his unforgettable role as “Monstrous Inmate,” however. This time, we’ll actually get to see Fillion’s face.
The Firefly star will be appearing in the film as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man. We won’t necessarily get to see FIllion in action, though. Comicbook.com (via io9) has posted a series of set photos featuring fake movie posters at the “Simon Williams Film Festival.” Fillion appears as WIlliams on all of these posters, assuming a variety of different roles. Among the posters is a Tony Stark biopic modeled after Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs.

These posters are likely just Easter eggs and Simon Williams probably won’t have a huge impact on the film’s plot. Regardless, we’re always happy to see Fillion on screen.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
