15 Films Advance in Documentary Feature Race

124 films were submitted in this year’s Oscar race for Best Documentary Feature. The Academy’s Documentary Branch have narrowed that list down to fifteen films to advance in the voting process for the 88th Academy Awards.

The Hunting Ground

The Look of Silence

What Happened, Miss Simone?
Where to Invade Next
Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom

As of now, the nomination frontrunners seem to be Amy, Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, He Named Me Malala, The Hunting Ground, and The Look of Silence.

The 88th Academy Awards nominations will be announced live on Thursday, January 14, 2016.
