Sony is moving forward with a new Men in Black trilogy, but it appears Will Smith is hanging up his black suit and sunglasses. Producers Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald of the original trilogy told The Hollywood Reporter that the revival’s development is “very active,” however, Smith “most likely” won’t be involved. Chances are this means Tommy Lee Jones won’t be coming back either, although he was barely in MI3 anyway.

So if Smith and Jones are likely out, who can take over for Agents Jay and Kay? Well, a 21 Jump Street/Men in Black crossover still isn’t out of the question. Wouldn’t it be great to see Schmidt and Jenko join the M.I.B. after finishing medical school?
