Michael Bay Directing Transformers 5

Although it previously looked like he was done with the Optimus Prime and his band of Autobots, Michael Bay is officially back on board for a fifth Transformers movie. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the director said that his blockbuster franchise’s next entry is in pre-production and set for a 2017 release. “I’m doing Transformers…5, is it?” Bay said. “I’ve taken on a lot of work.”

Let’s just hope Bay can been this Transformers sequel under 13 hours, which is actually the title of his next movie. Bay is also producing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which hits theaters on June 3rd. So it would appear Bay is indeed a busy guy, for better or for worse.
