How can a director top the phenomenon that is Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Simple, ask Disney to let you film in space.

SlashFilm reports Episode IX director, Colin Trevorrow, recently spoke at a presentation at Sundance Film Festival, in which he revealed his hopes to film an IMAX segment of the future Star Wars sequel in outer space. Trevorrow said he shared his idea with Disney, but has yet to hear back from them. “I asked the question, ‘Is it possible for us to shoot IMAX film plates in actual space for Star Wars,’ and I haven’t gotten an answer yet.” he said.
