Sonic The Hedgehog Movie gets scheduled release

Sony Pictures’ Sonic The Hedgehog Movie has had its release scheduled. The Sega favourite will dash onto our screens in 2018.

NintendoLife reports that the “live-action and animation hybrid” feature film will be released in two years time. And the news was also confirmed by Sega president and CEO Hajime Satomi:

“Sega Sammy Group is currently planning with Sony Pictures to create a live-action and animation hybrid Sonic The Hedgehog movie scheduled for release in 2018. Like with this CG animation production, we would like to expand our business into other entertainment areas beyond what we are currently involved.”

Not much is known about the production at this early stage, but with the film’s release now scheduled, we’re sure to have more updates for you very soon.
