Being one of the most anticipated movies of March and of 2016 on the whole, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is sure to have a big debut. Early reports suggested that the film may make $140 Million over its opening weekend, although TheWrap believes it may make more around $110.

While this would be a strong start either way, these estimates are notably lower than the actual opening weekend totals for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, both of which made roughly $160 million. Seeing how Deadpool‘s opening weekend surpassed expectations, though, it’s possible that Batman v Superman will too.

Considering its production budget of $250 million, the film will certainly need to make a bundle to show a profit.
