Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer has announced that he will retire from the superhero genre.

Zimmer told the BBC that he’s spent a lot of years on superhero films and he now wants to leave that behind. “I did Batman Begins with Chris [Nolan] 12 years ago, so The Dark Knight Trilogy might be three movies to you, to me it was 11 years of my life,” he said.
