Ewan McGregor isn’t quite finished with Star Wars just yet as he’s revealed that he wants to do an Obi-Wan Kenobi solo spin-off film.
He told Collider that he’d “very much like” to do a film that connects the dots between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
“I think there’s a story there, the story between Episode III and Episode IV,” he said. “I think that’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, if there is one. The one that bridges my Obi-Wan Kenobi and Alec (Guinness’s) Obi-Wan Kenobi because there’s a – I don’t know how long he’s in the desert there, but it’s got to be 20 or 30 years.”
He wouldn’t confirm if he’d met with Lucasfilm about a potential spin-off. However, he did go onto reiterate his desire to return to the iconic role: “To play Obi-Wan Kenobi again would be something I would love to do in one of the spinoff movies.”
