Looks like Indiana Jones 5 still isn’t that hot on Steven Spielberg’s radar. Once the director completes work on Ready Player One, production will start on The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Reuniting with Tony Kushner, who wrote Munich and Lincoln, The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara will be adapted from the novel of the same name by David Kertzer, while shooting is slated to begin sometime in 2017. Mark Rylance – who recently won Best Supporting Actor in Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies, and is also the director’s BFG in the upcoming Roald Dahl adaptation – is starring as the Pope (yes, the Pope), in a story which sees a young Jewish boy stolen from his home and raised as a Catholic, before taking his place as an Augustinian order priest.

There’s no release date yet set for The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, but Ready Player One has a slated release of March 20, 2018 – so we have that to look forward to first.
