Richard E. Grant has been cast alongside Hugh Jackman in the X-Men spin-off Wolverine 3.
Grant will play a villainous mad-scientist and will join up with Jackman next month when filming begins in New Orleans and New Mexico.
His character name is currently unknown but fans are speculating that he could be playing Professor Andre Thorton, Dr Abraham Cornelius or even Mister Sinister, all big baddies from the comics.
It’s set to be Jackman’s last outing as Wolverine and after the success of Marvel’s Deadpool, Wolverine 3 is also set to be R-rated (15).
The plot is currently unknown but joining Grant and Jackman are Patrick Stewart returning as Professor X and Boyd Holbrook as the main villain. Wolverine 3 will get its release in 2017.
