As the deadline creeps closer and closer for renewal, CBS and Warner Bros. are still continuing their talks about a second season of Supergirl, and rumours that the superhero show could very well move to The CW network have surfaced, according to The Wrap.
The budget for each Supergirl episode is $3 million, and the ratings for the show’s first season haven’t quite warranted that kind of spending; if it did indeed move to The CW, its budget would be slashed somewhat, but at least it would be in the same home as Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash – so an in-built audience would probably help in that regard. And if it does happen, expect even more crossover episodes (like March’s crossover with The Flash). Do you think the move would benefit the show?
