Rumor: Solo Batman movie may be set in Arkham Asylum

A rumor has surfaced that Ben Affleck’s solo Batman movie could be set in Arkham Asylum.

Anonymous sources have informed Batman-On-Film that the film will find the Caped Crusader trapped in the psychiatric hospital for Gotham’s most homicidal criminals. This wouldn’t be all that surprising seeing how the film will reportedly be packed with villains.

One can’t help but wonder if the movie will take a page from the Batman: Arkham video games. With Batman: Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady Studios provided one of the most complete versions of the Dark Knight ever depicted. At the same time, they managed to work several of Batman’s most iconic enemies into an involving story. Batman: Arkham City upped the ante and Batman: Arkham Knight closed out the trilogy on a fitting note. Let’s just pretend Batman: Arkham Origins never happened.
