Director David Ayer took to Twitter to apologize for his outburst at the New York premiere of his DC film, Suicide Squad.
When someone from the crowd apparently yelled an anti-Marvel insult, Ayer repeated it. “F*ck Marvel,” he said. Check out the video below but beware of the language:

Ayer soon tweeted his regrets, admitting that it was “not cool”:
Sorry about getting caught up in the moment and saying f*ck Marvel. Someone said it. I echoed. Not cool. Respect for my brother filmmakers.

However, Marvel fans are not so forgiving and are unhappy with Ayer after he insulted DC’s arch-rivals.
The Monday premiere was attended by the Suicide Squad cast, including Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevigne.
And you can see Suicide Squad in theaters this Friday.
