Dave Bautista cast as villain in Bond 24

Following the news that Léa Seydoux had been cast as the Bond Girl in the new 007 adventure, it’s also just bagged its first villain; Dave Bautista will play evil henchman Hinx in next year’s as-yet untitled movie. A few weeks ago, the producers explained, ‘we are looking to follow in the tradition of Jaws and Oddjob in finding an iconic baddy’. And they just might find it in the 287-pound actor; Bautista’s Drax the Destroyer was one of the unexpected highlights of this summer’s massive Marvel hit Guardians of the Galaxy, immediately stamping out any accusations of wrestler-turned-actor woodenness in the process, so it’ll be interesting to see what he’ll do with a human role.
