Yesterday, Kevin Hart shared the first set photo from the new Jumanji sequel. The image has however caused controversy as many people online are unhappy with Karen Gillan’s “sexist” outfit.
Hart shared the image on Instagram of himself alongside the cast which includes Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Karen Gillan and Jack Black. Check it out below:

Jumanji! Yes I'm wearing child sized clothes and YES there is a reason! The pay off is worth it, I promise! #Jumanji pic.twitter.com/qBshnhwV6K

As you can see, Gillan has been dressed in a crop top and short shorts, a wardrobe decision that many feel is unnecessary:

I vote that the next Jumanji cast photo has The Rock and Karen Gillan switching outfits.

Things I can't stop thinking about this morning: 1. Karen Gillan wearing a crop top in the Jumanji promo pics. She'll be bitten to death.

The Rock did respond, re-assuring fans that the costumes ‘will all make full sense soon’. But that still didn’t go down too well with some:

The film was initially thought to be a remake of Robin Williams’ 1995 original. However, it’s now confirmed as a sequel with Jake Kasdan at the helm.
Jumanji will swing into theaters on 28 July, 2017.
