2016 still has 2 months to go and yet Disney has already recorded its best ever year.
This is mainly thanks to Disney’s four highest-grossing films this year, which are Zootopia ($1.023m), Captain America: Civil War ($1.153m), Jungle Book ($966m), and Finding Dory ($1.021m).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has made a total so far this year of $5.85 billion, which beats last year’s tally of $5.84 billion.
Disney could very well overtake Universal’s record-breaking year where the studio earned an impressive $6.89 billion in 2015.
With big blockbusters such as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Doctor Strange and Moana still yet to take shape, Disney could even be looking at breaking the $7 billion barrier.
