Ciaran Hinds to play Steppenwolf in Justice League

The Wrap is reporting that Ciaran Hinds (Bleed for This) has been cast as Steppenwolf in Warner Bros Pictures and DC’s Justice League.

Hinds, who also featured in Game of Thrones, will portray the “big bad” that was briefly glimpsed in a deleted scene from this year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, however this version will a little different. The character will be brought to life through a motion-capture performance.

Zack Snyder returns to the director’s chair with Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman/), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman) as the titular superhero team.

Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Jeremy Irons (Alfred) also return for the film, joined by J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), Willen Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), Amber Heard (Mera) and Kiersey Clemons (Iris West).

Justice League is released on November 17th, 2017.
