Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed what has been long expected: that Michael Keaton will star as Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Feige responded to the Toronto Sun‘s question about upcoming villains set to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with:
“We’ve had a wish list and most of them in the near-term are coming together. Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Michael Keaton’s Vulture in Spider-Man is something.”
Whilst Marvel Studios had confirmed Keaton’s appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming prior to this, it has only now been confirmed who he’ll be playing. Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters July 7, 2017 in the US and UK.
