Don’t expect to see X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon.
Marvel President Kevin Feige dismissed any talk of striking a deal with Fox to see the likes of X-Men and Fantastic Four crossover into the MCU.
Feige told Variety that it’s an ‘impossibility’ at this point in time:
“It’s an impossibility at this juncture. We certainly have enough films to keep us busy for a number of lifetimes.”
Rumors had suggested that a collaboration between the two studios was on the cards, much like Marvel and Sony did with Spider-Man. However, Feige’s comments have now surely put those rumors to bed.
Although, X-Men: Apocalypse writer and producer Simon Kinberg did recently state that relations had warmed between Marvel and Fox, so maybe there’s some hope after all.
