Disney revealed new footage of Star Wars: The Last Jedi at CinemaCon on Monday.
The footage was reportedly brief but did show Daisy Ridley’s Rey using Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber. SlashFilm’s Peter Sciretta was in attendance and described the clip on Twitter:
Just saw a short glimpse of Star Wars: The Last Jedi footage in a sizzle reel. Rey holding the lightsaber ignited, and her moving the rocks.

Disney had already screened longer footage to a select audience in Denver earlier this month. According to LA Times reporter Daniel Miller, the clips showed Rey handing Luke his lightsaber as he asks her “Who are you?”:
We just saw more "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" footage. In it, Luke asks Rey, "Who are you?" Then we see her deftly handle a lightsaber.

The film’s first trailer is expected to arrive at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando mid-April:
