Meryl Streep made history at this year’s 89th Academy Awards, becoming the first actor to receive 20 Oscar nominations. And now the Academy are so confident in her acting ability that they’ve already announced her nomination for next year’s ceremony.

The 67 year old is starring alongside Tom Hanks in Steven Spielberg’s political drama The Post, and although the film is yet to get its release, the Academy are already banking on a strong performance from Streep, which has earned her an early Oscar nomination for best leading actress. The Academy revealed the news in an official statement:

“We know what we are getting from Meryl and that’s consistency. She is such a brilliant actress and makes history once again, becoming the first ever actor to receive an early nomination. It’s a decision we’ve thought long and hard about with the Academy voting unanimously in favor of shortlisting her for the award. We are actually considering nominating her early for the 2019 and 2020 Oscars as well.”
