Given the critical and fan reception Wonder Woman has received, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that director Patty Jenkins and DC are already developing a sequel.

According to Variety, DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirmed that Jenkins would return for the followup. The two are currently in the process of writing a treatment.

“Patty and I are writing the treatment right now,” Johns stated. “The goal is to make another great Wonder Woman film. I had a blast making it with Patty the first time. We’ve got a cool idea for the second one.”
