Ben Affleck is reportedly on-board to play the Caped Crusader again in The Batman.

Given the poor reception to Batman v Superman, not to mention the Sadfleck phenomenon, it looked like Ben Affleck’s days as the Dark Knight might be short-lived. This appeared even more probable when Affleck stepped down as the film’s director. According to Batman-News, however, director Matt Reeves confirmed that Affleck will reprise his role in DC’s upcoming solo film.

While The Batman currently doesn’t have a release date, Affleck is already set to star as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Justice League, which hits theaters on November 17. As for Reeves, he most recently directed War for the Planet of the Apes, which earned a stellar review from us.
