Director Rian Johnson has unveiled who the titular Last Jedi will be in Star Wars: Episode VIII, which means you might want to beware any potential spoilers below.

Ever since the title was announced, there’s been mass speculation as to who The Last Jedi is referring to. Luke Skywalker? Rey? Kylo Ren? Of course Jedi can also be plural, meaning all three of them could be grouped together. Johnson has now confirmed in an New York Times interview, however, that Luke is the last of the Jedi.

“There’s always wiggle room in these movies — everything is from a certain point of view — but coming into our story, he is the actual last of the Jedi,” Johnson states.

Luke mentions in the trailer that “it’s time for the Jedi to end.” We’ll learn more about what he means by this when Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
