Henry Cavill admits how he really feels about DCEU

The general consensus regarding the DC Extended Universe seems to be that the first three films were all messes, but Wonder Woman might’ve provided a fresh start. Turns out that even Superman himself would agree with this.

We wonder how Sad Affleck feels about that?

Speaking with The Rake (quotations from @sliickstack), Henry Cavill admitted that the DCEU has had its fair share of letdowns.

“Even if Marvel didn’t exist, we’d struggle,” Cavill stated. “There was a style they [DC] were going for, an attempt to be different and look at things from a slightly different perspective, which hasn’t necessarily worked. Yes, it has made money but it has not been a critical success – it hasn’t given everyone that sensation which superheroes should give the viewer.”

Cavil went on to mention that Wonder Woman will hopefully get the franchise on track.

“It is even better to come back from a mistake or stylistic error into the correct vein because it will make it seem that much stronger. Wonder Woman was the first step in the right direction.”

We’re doing things MY way now!

Cavill is set to appear in Justice League, which hits theaters on November 17, 2017. Hopefully it’s a film the cast can be proud of.
