Morena Baccarin joins the cast of Deadpool

When the release date for the Deadpool movie was set, Ryan Reynolds was already announced to be returning as the titular character. And now the film gets another bit of juicy casting: Morena Baccarin, known for her roles in Firefly, Gotham and Homeland, has just boarded the movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, her character will play Deadpool’s love interest, although just which role she is playing is as yet unspecified. She joins the already announced Gina Carano and T.J. Miller. Baccarin is known for starring in geek-friendly properties like Firefly and Gotham, so her inclusion here is much welcomed.

Deadpool will be released February 12, 2016.
