According to Deadline, “sources say” that 18-year-old Asa Butterfield is in talks for the new, younger, rebooted Spider-Man role. Although there are other young and upcoming stars rumoured to be in the mix for the part: the likes of Nat Wolff, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet, and Liam James.

Marvel’s rebooted Spider-Man will be a teenage high school student and the film will not retrace his origin story as the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb movies did. Sony and Marvel Studios are essentially sharing the character now and we can’t wait to hear developments on who will the play the popular superhero.
