Alex Garland in talks with Danny Boyle over 28 Months Later

Alex Garland is reportedly in talks with Danny Boyle concerning 28 Months Later, a sequel in the 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later series. Talking to IGN he said rather humorously “It’s more likely to be 28 Months than 28 Years. 28 Years gives you one more place to go. 28 Decades is probably taking the piss.” Garland wrote the screenplay for the first movie and served as an executive producer on its sequel. His most recent project is Ex Machina, a sci-fi film revolving around an experiment in artificial intelligence, which he wrote and directed.
