Alien shoes controversy… As they’re not available for women!

To mark Alien Day, Reebok released limited-edition shoes modelled on the ones worn by Sigourney Weaver’s ‘Ripley’ in 1986’s Aliens. However, they didn’t go down well with female fans after it was discovered that they were only available in male sizes.

This sparked outrage amongst fans on social media:

If it couldn’t have got any worse for Reebok, many users reported to have had site errors when trying to purchase the shoes which had a whooping price of $175. Reebok clearly weren’t expecting so much traffic on the site as the shoes ended up selling out in just 40 minutes.

But for any men or large footed women who did miss out, you can still purchase the iconic trainers on third-party selling-sites such as eBay for thousands of dollars.
