The Ratchet & Clank movie might have been a financial dud, but The Angry Birds Movie is already proving to be a good investment.

According to Box Office Mojo, the adaptation of Rovio’s hit mobile game grossed an estimated $39 million at the domestic box office. Angry Birds nabbed the top spot from Captain America: Civil War, which dropped to #2 and made $33.1 million domestically in its third week. Worldwide, Civil War has already made over $1 billion and is currently the biggest film of 2016 so far.

Meanwhile, Neighbors 2 opened at #3 with $21.79 million and The Nice Guys finished in #4 with $11.2 million. How ironic that Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling got beaten by the Angry Birds. Rounding out the top 5 was The Jungle Book, which made $11 million.

Internationally, X-Men: Apocalypse made $103.3 million and finished first in 71 markets. There’s no doubt the that latest X-Men film will open at number one when it debuts domestically next weekend. The question is if it can beat Deadpool, which is currently the biggest X-Men movie ever.
