We already know that a new live-action film, dubbed Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, is in the works but now it’s been announced that Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise will be getting a new animated movie by way of Marza Animation Planet.
Marza announced that the CG-animated production will be directed by Takanori Tsujimoto and scripted by Psycho-Pass writer Makoto Fukami. The film’s working title is Resident Evil CG 3, and follows two prior animated adaptations of Capcom’s horror series, including 2008’s Resident Evil: Degeneration and Resident Evil: Damnation, which launched back in 2012.
Resident Evil CG 3 is set for release in 2017.
