It’s been widely reported that Anna Paquin would star as Rogue in Fox’s upcoming Gambit solo flick however she has now put those rumours to bed via twitter…

The film already has Channing Tatum on board as Gambit but it now looks unlikely that Paquin will join him as Rogue. The two characters have a romantic relationship in the X-Men universe, though Rogue is involved with Ice-Man (Shawn Ashmore) in Bryan Singer’s X-Men movies.
Gambit is due to hit screens in October 2016.
