Momoa will make his on-screen debut in next year’s Justice League. While Aquaman is set for a release on July 27, 2018.
Aquaman’s villain revealed
Aquaman may be someway off a release but details of the film’s main villain has been revealed.
According to The Wrap, Jason Momoa will be up against Black Manta, who most had expected to be in the role, as he is the superhero’s best-known villain.
There’s plenty of history between Aquaman and Black Manta. As in the comics, the latter always had a vendetta against the lord of Atlantis, which even resulted in the murder of Aquaman’s young son.

It’s been rumoured that there will in fact be two villains, so we can still hold out for the likes of Queequeg or the Malignant Amoeba, also making the cut.
