Batman star reuniting with Tim Burton for Dumbo reboot

Disney’s live-action remake of the 1941 classic Dumbo is moving forward with a new big casting announcement. Recently it was reported that Danny DeVito was in talks to join Tim Burton’s upcoming Dumbo adaptation, and now comes the news that Michael Keaton is also close to signing up.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Birdman actor is currently in negotiations to play the film’s villain, a circus owner who exploits elephants. He will therefore reunite with Burton and DeVito who were both involved in the previous Batman movies.

Keaton played the caped crusader in 1992’s Batman Returns, directed by Burton.

Eva Green and Colin Farrell are also in talks to join the remake, with the film still awaiting a release date. Keaton next stars in Spider-Man: Homecoming which arrives in July.
