The first full trailer for Beauty and the Beast has only just arrived and yet it’s already breaking records.
The trailer received the most views in 24 hours in YouTube history. 127.6 million views it totalled up on its first day.
The Disney remake overtook Fifty Shades Darker which held the record at 114 million views.
It’s the second time that the film has broken such a record as when the first teaser was released in May, it was viewed 91.8 million times, which surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens’s 88 million views at the time.
Beauty and the Beast has an impressive cast with the likes of Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor and Sir Ian McKellan. Interestingly, the latest trailer matches the original 1991 animation’s trailer scene for scene.
