Ben Affleck finally responds to the ‘Sad Affleck’ video

Batman V Superman - Sad Affleck

Ben Affleck has finally broken his ‘sound of silence’ with a response to the Sad Affleck video that went viral last year.

The video was of an interview with Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill who were promoting Batman v Superman. What made the video unique though, was Affleck’s sad facial expressions when asked about the negative critical response to the movie. This soon went viral with an edited version, featuring a zoom on Affleck and a Simon and Garfunkel song, which even climbed to the top of the charts.

Refresh your memories with the video below:

Well months down the line, Affleck has at last responded to the video, as when asked what he learnt from BvS, he told BBC Radio 1:

“It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill, where I don’t say anything and they can lay Simon and Garfunkel tracks over it. That’s one thing I learned.”

So good to know he’s a got a sense of humor about it! Affleck returns to the superhero fold as Batman in Justice League, which arrives on 17 November.
