In addition to playing the Dark Knight in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League pictures, Ben Affleck will also reportedly be directing and starring in a solo Batman movie. Affleck will additionally be co-writing the screenplay along with DC’s Geoff Johns, who has previously worked on the CW’s Arrow and The Flash.

After a seemingly hopeless losing streak, Affleck has truly climbed back up the Hollywood A-lister ladder with directorial outings like Gone Baby Gone, The Town and the Best Picture winning Argo. Although many have complained about Affleck playing the Caped Crusader, we’re optimistic that this decade defining talent can bring something special to Batman’s legacy, both in front of and behind the camera.
