Benicio Del Toro confirmed to return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Good news, fans of Guardians of the Galaxy; Benicio Del Toro is set to return for the sequel. Appearing as the über-weird Collector in the first film, co-star Zoe Saldana – who played Gamora – confirmed that Del Toro will be stopping to say hi in the follow-up, humorously entitled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

We’ve known that The Collector would be popping up again, and rumour is that he’s set to play a bigger role than before. Naturally, this is great news for Del Toro, who’s signing up a Star Wars movie, while Sicario is currently making waves. The character was the first to explain the true nature of the Infinity Stones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the only one who really seems to know what’s going on (although Thor is now a bit more clued up after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is due for release on May 5, 2017.
