The 25th entry in the James Bond franchise is set for a 2019 release with Daniel Craig back on board as 007. Who will claim the director’s chair, though?

According to Deadline, Denis Villeneuve of Blade Runner 2029 and Arrival is a top contender to helm James Bond 25. Other potential candidates include Yann Demange of ’71 and David Mackenzie of Hell or High Water.

Denis Villeneuve, from Blade Runner to Bond?

Of course there’s also Christopher Nolan, although the prospect of him directing is unlikely at this point, especially now that these three other names are in the mix.
