Bond producers “would love” a 007 Cinematic Universe

There’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, the LEGO universe, the Star Wars universe, the Dark Universe, and now possibly the James Bond universe?

The rumor comes from The Tracking Board’s Jeff Sneider who says he’s heard that producers Michael and his sister Barbara Broccoli “would love to explore other corners of the Bond franchise”:

With plenty of experience in the industry, he’s certainly a trustworthy source, however we can’t be too sure yet without any official confirmation on this. But it wouldn’t be the first time that there’s been talk of expanding the Bond franchise. As back in 2002, a spinoff around Halle Berry’s Jinx from Die Another Day was in development, but the project never took off.

Berry almost had her own Bond spin-off.

And there’s a whole host of characters they could choose from to expand the universe. But firstly and most importantly, we await a director and an official announcement as to who will portray 007 in Bond 25.
