Brendan Fraser, star of the original The Mummy films in 1999 and 2001, has shared his thoughts on the new reboot.
Critics have destroyed the film with monstrous reviews, but what does Brendan think?
“I understand that Tom [Cruise] is very popular in the world of getting films. I know very little about the actual project itself but I know it’s gonna be great for an audience ’cause they’re always gonna be there for that popcorn-movie thrilling feeling and adventure. I’m grateful for all the support over the years. Thank you.” he told Access Hollywood.
Fraser was recently the subject of a petition, as fans campaigned to see the actor back on screen. Over 46,000 names signed hoping for his return to a mainstream role:

Fraser does currently have some upcoming projects in the can with The Field and Behind the Curtain of Night. While The Mummy hits theaters today.
