Carrie Fisher reveals the Star Wars line she hated so much

Carrie Fisher aka Princess Leia has revealed the Star Wars line she hated so much that it made her want to be a screenwriter. The line is from George Lucas’ 1977 original film A New Hope, sorry George.

“I have placed information vital to the survival of the Rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit.”

Fisher revealed the line while taking part in a Q&A event at the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday, repeating it three times to emphasis it’s awfulness.

Fisher says the line when begging Obi-Wan Kobi to help her in her “desperate hour” and she hated it so much that she claims that’s the reason why she delivered the dialogue in a British accent.
