Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway had “angry words” on Ocean’s Eight set

Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway are reportedly “butting heads” on the set of Ocean’s Eight.

The pair are said to have fallen out whilst filming the all-female reboot.

“Cate’s very laid back and easygoing, but Anne’s rubbing her the wrong way,” a source told Australian magazine Woman’s Day.

“They had a few angry words and didn’t speak for a few days. Now they’re trying to keep things cordial… but it’s difficult to say the least.”

Hathaway does have a bit of a reputation for not being easy to work with, and has even been branded ‘the most-hated star in Hollywood’.

Radio presenter Howard Stern had strong words to say about her when on air with James Franco:

“Everyone sort of hates Anne Hathaway, and I’ve explained that I do too, and I don’t even know why sometimes,” Stern said.

“She comes off like the goody two-shoes actress and it’s just fun to sort of hate her. Hate is a strong word, but I dislike her, even though she is a great actress.” he added.
