Christoph Waltz previously mentioned that he might reprise his role as Blofeld if Daniel Craig also returns as James Bond. Craig will be back for Bond 25, which must mean Waltz is on board too… right?

Unfortunately not. Waltz informed Talky News that he won’t be in the next James Bond film.

“I’m really sad, but that’s the tradition, that there is a new… name,” said Waltz. “Sorry. I would’ve liked to.”

It’s hard to say exactly what Waltz means by “new name.” Could it be a new villain or a new actor playing Blofeld? In any case, Bond 25 hits theaters on November 8, 2019.

Bummer, I was hoping he would make it in the sequel so they could show more of him.

He was good as Blofeld but I was disappointed as they hardly showed him in the movie and it had a lot of potential.

SPECTRE was entertaining but the plot could have been a lot better.
