Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr. better known by his stage name Common, has been cast to play the primary antagonist in John Wick 2.
The actor and musician, who won the 2015 Oscar for Best Original Song for his work on Selma, will star opposite Keanu Reeves in the upcoming sequel with THR reporting that Common will play the “head of security for a female crime lord.”
Ian McShane has also joined the cast of John Wick 2, where he’ll be reprising his role as Winston, “the owner of the boutique hotel that caters to hit-person community with its discretion, on-call doctors and no-killing rule.”
John Wick 2 is expected to hit cinemas in late 2016.
