Could Jason Statham play Bullseye in Daredevil Season 2?

With a second season of Daredevil announced, things should be heating up soon in regards to casting – and the first big rumour on that front has just dropped. According to the ever-reliable Latino Review, Jason Statham is currently being eyed for the role of Bullseye, one of Matt Murdoch’s (AKA Daredevil) worthiest foes. Other villains rumoured to be appearing throughout Season 2 also include Mr. Fear, Mysterio, and Elektra – but Bullseye is a firm fan favourite, and Statham playing him would be a terrific match.

Marvel may – or may not – have listened to Statham’s opinion on playing one of their characters back at Comic-Con in 2008, where he said he ‘would love to be Daredevil.’ Perhaps he’s already well versed in the comics and the character’s history, and even if he hasn’t nabbed the lead role (Charlie Cox is returning for that), then at least he’ll get to fight the superhero instead. But will Statham keep that famous British accent?
