Critics go bananas for War for the Planet of the Apes

The first reactions are in for Matt Reeves’ War for the Planet of the Apes and they’re exceptionally good.

War is the third Planet of the Apes film, the final of the trilogy, and the best yet according to critics. A select number were lucky enough to see an early screening of the film and have nothing but praise for the movie, calling it “amazing”, phenomenal”, “jaw-dropping” and “incredible”. Even Andy Serkis’ performance as Caesar has been called Oscar-worthy. See the positive tweets below:

War for the Planet of the Apes swings into theaters on July 14th. Matt Reeves’ next project is The Batman, and we certainly can’t wait for that now.
