Daniel Craig returning for James Bond 25
Daniel Craig is reportedly reprising his role as 007 for James Bond 25. Recently, it was announced that the latest film in the franchise will officially hit theaters on November 8, 2019. And now although not quite official just yet, The New York Times claims that Craig’s return is “a done deal”.
The NY Times states Craig has signed on to return “according to two people briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid conflicts with Eon and MGM.”
This follows recent reports that he had been “persuaded” to return as Bond, as according to Page Six, the franchise’s producer Barbara Broccoli has “just about persuaded Daniel Craig to do one more Bond movie”.
With Craig all but officially confirmed for the film, now comes the speculation as to who will helm the project. It’s been reported that Christopher Nolan’s production company Syncopy is involved with the film, which has led to rumors that the Dunkirk filmmaker will take on directing duties.
