Daniel Craig’s Bond future in doubt after signing up to US show

Seeing Daniel Craig return to play James Bond is looking even more unlikely now after it’s been announced that he will star in new US TV series Purity.

Recent reports had suggested that he may return to the Bond franchise for at least one more film but by committing himself to this new TV project, returning as 007 may not be possible for Craig.

According to Variety, he’ll be playing German Andreas Wolf, who helps a US woman named Purity track down her father.

Purity is based on Jonathan Franzen’s novel and so far the series doesn’t have a confirmed broadcaster, with Showtime, Netflix, FX and Amazon in a bidding war to acquire the rights.
